First‑Class Package International Service Disclaimer & Shipping Cost Policy

By selecting First‑Class Package International Service, the buyer fully accepts all shipping risks, including loss, theft, damage, delay, or non‑delivery. This service does not include insurance.

Once the package has been scanned and accepted into the postal system, all liability transfers to the carrier, and 838 Designs (SHIFT838) is released from any responsibility for the shipment. The buyer agrees that:

• No refunds, replacements, or reshipments will be issued for lost, stolen, damaged, or undelivered packages.

• All claims must be filed directly with the carrier responsible for delivery.

• All rights to dispute charges or file chargebacks related to shipping issues are waived.

If an incorrect shipping method is selected for the items purchased (for example: choosing a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded Envelope for a fragile item such as an expansion card), SHIFT838 reserves the right to change the shipping method to a more appropriate box or packaging.

If the adjusted shipping method results in additional cost, the customer will be billed and the order will not ship until the balance is paid. Alternatively, SHIFT838 may choose a slower or lower‑cost shipping option so the customer does not incur extra fees.

A Quick Note About Shipping Costs

Carrier rates change frequently, and sometimes the automated shipping calculator may lag behind current pricing. If the actual shipping + supply cost differs from what was charged at checkout, 838 Designs (SHIFT838) will make it right:

• If you were over‑charged, we will refund the difference.

• If shipping costs are higher, we will send an updated invoice for the additional amount.
