838-IO Plus

The 838-IO Plus is a direct replacement for the aging Texas Instruments Flex Cable interface card.  This card does the exact same thing but has been redesigned to have a new cable go out the back of the sidecar portion on the side of the TI-99/4A to help with desktop real estate. So no more huge fire hose type cable!  The board also has options to hook up 2x internal 5v PC fans for power as well as a USB port for powering devices like a wifi232 modem (5v only). The side card that is used with the unit to interface the PEB and the TI-99/4A has an expansion port to be able to hook up the 838-32k module and remove the 32k card from the PEB to free up a card slot for use.  Other devices are currently being developed for use as well with the expansion port of the side card. The board currently comes in two version.  One for the 838-PEB which is on a smaller footprint to help with routing the cables inside the PC case and the standard version which will fit into the standard Texas Instruments PEB.
